The awards ceremony for the 15th Wallonia Export Awards took place on 9 November 2016. This event, organised by the Wallonia Export-Investment Agency, brought together over 300 people at the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Charleroi.
The Wallonia Export Award is designed to recognise recent, but confirmed efforts and successes by Walloon companies that have succeeded in breaking into foreign markets with Walloon goods and/or services, giving these companies a reputation that can, at the same time, help to improve the brand image of Walloon industrial and cultural products, expertise and services overseas.

Here are the winners of the 15th event:
Springboard Award for Europe - MARKET IP
Market-IP provides geographical optimisation services and offers technical solutions for improving company management.
Springboard Award for Large-Scale Exports – ONCODNA
OncoDNA is a theranostics company which offers diagnosis for the choice of anti-cancer treatments.
Award for European Exports - EUROGENTEC
Eurogentec produces and markets chemical reagents for professionals working in molecular diagnosis and scientific research in the fields of genomics and proteomics.
Award for Large-Scale Exports - AE VALVES
AE Valves is a supplier of industrial valves in the LPG and petrochemical sectors.
Wallonia Export Grand Prix – PHYSIOL
PhysIOL develops artificial, implantable lenses treating cataracts and long-sightedness, also called intra-ocular lenses.
The jury also decided to award a Special Mention to SONACA, the aeronautics manufacturer based in Gosselies (Charleroi).
